Soccer: Growing up playing cricket from early childhood, I often wondered why I didn’t discover soccer sooner. It was in 2010, captivated by Lionel Messi’s brilliance, that I fell in love with this beautiful sport. The excitement of the game, the spirit of teamwork, and the core values of soccer clubs drew me in deeply. I’m particularly passionate about the English Premier League, enthralled by its unmatched competitiveness and thrilling matches. Soccer has become more than a hobby—it’s a source of joy and inspiration, connecting me to a global community of fans and players.
Gardening: In 2024, I embarked on a new adventure by leasing a 20ft by 10ft plot at the University of Kentucky’s graduate housing community garden. The experience of growing my own food was transformative, filling me with a profound sense of accomplishment and connection to nature. Inspired by this, I expanded my efforts in 2025, cultivating 18 varieties of vegetables, including tomatoes, chilies, zucchini, pumpkins, spinach, and 4-5 traditional Bangladeshi vegetables. Gardening has taught me patience, resilience, and the joy of nurturing life, motivating me to continue exploring sustainable practices.
Cycling: Cycling has been a lifelong passion, sparked when my parents gifted me my first bike after earning a board scholarship in grade 5. Since then, riding has been my gateway to exploration and freedom. I’ve pedaled through countless places in Bangladesh, soaking in the landscapes and culture. In Lexington, Kentucky, I’ve explored scenic routes like the Legacy Trail, embracing the thrill of discovery on two wheels. Cycling remains a constant source of adventure, keeping me connected to my surroundings and my roots.
