I am honored to have received several prestigious awards and scholarships, recognizing my academic excellence, professional potential, and commitment to advancing my expertise in materials science and project management. These accolades, awarded by esteemed organizations, underscore my dedication and provide significant support for my career development, particularly in enhancing my work in image processing and high-quality image/video production.

The WAAIME Scholarship from the Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), awarded in 2024, is a merit-based scholarship provided by SME’s Women’s Auxiliary, aimed at supporting students in mining, metallurgy, and related fields. SME is a globally recognized professional society dedicated to advancing the minerals industry, and the WAAIME Scholarship, valued for its competitive selection, empowers recipients to pursue research and professional growth. This scholarship alleviates financial burdens, allowing me to access advanced resources, such as software for data analysis or imaging equipment, which enhance my ability to develop innovative materials for imaging technologies, like sensor coatings, improving visual content quality.

The Professional Readiness Grant from the University of Kentucky (UKY) Student Government Association (SGA), received in 2024, supports students in preparing for professional careers through funding for certifications, workshops, or networking events. The UKY SGA is a student-led body focused on advocating for student success, and this grant reflects my proactive approach to career readiness. It enables me to pursue training in project management tools like Microsoft Project or editing software, streamlining workflows for video production and ensuring efficient, high-quality outputs.

I also received two Professional Development Grants from the UKY Center for Graduate and Professional Service and the Center for Graduate and Professional Diversity Initiatives in Spring 2024. These centers are dedicated to fostering graduate student success, with the former emphasizing professional skill-building and the latter promoting diversity and inclusion. These grants, awarded for academic and professional excellence, fund conference attendance, research materials, or specialized courses. They support my participation in materials science conferences, where I gain insights into advanced imaging technologies, and provide access to tools like MATLAB for automating image processing tasks, enhancing the precision of my creative projects.

Additionally, the Professional Development Grant from the UKY SGA, also awarded in 2024, further supports my professional growth by funding activities like industry certifications or research presentations. This grant reinforces my ability to stay at the forefront of project management and materials science, enabling me to apply agile methodologies to media production and optimize equipment performance for reliable, high-quality visual outputs.

The significance of these awards lies in their recognition of my academic rigor, leadership, and potential to contribute to technical and creative fields. The WAAIME Scholarship, backed by SME’s global reputation, enhances my credibility among peers, while the UKY grants highlight my commitment to professional excellence and diversity. Collectively, these awards provide financial and professional resources, enabling me to invest in cutting-edge tools and training. They support my interdisciplinary work by facilitating research into materials that improve imaging systems and by refining my project management skills to deliver visually compelling content efficiently. These accolades position me as a versatile professional, capable of bridging technical innovation with creative excellence in image and video production.
