Earned the Supply Chain Management Specialization offered by Rutgers the State University of New Jersey on Coursera, taught by Rudolf Leuschner, achieving an overall grade of 98.6%. This introductory specialization, comprising five courses, provides a comprehensive foundation in supply chain management, covering logistics, operations, planning, sourcing, and strategy. It is designed for beginners and those interested in understanding the complexities of global supply chains, requiring no prior background but benefiting from general business knowledge.
The specialization includes courses on Supply Chain Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Sourcing, and a capstone course in Supply Chain Management Strategy. Major content areas involve transportation, warehousing, and inventory management; process optimization using Six Sigma and Lean practices; forecasting techniques for demand planning; supplier relationship management; and solving real-world business cases. The courses feature videos, readings, quizzes, and hands-on projects, culminating in a capstone project analyzing a company’s supply chain challenges.
I learned the core concepts of supply chain management, including how to design efficient logistics networks, apply process improvement tools, forecast demand accurately, and build productive supplier relationships. The capstone project honed my ability to integrate these skills to address practical supply chain issues, enhancing my strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
While focused on supply chains, the analytical and optimization skills I gained are applicable to image processing and high-quality image/video production. Techniques like Lean and Six Sigma can streamline workflows, reducing inefficiencies in editing or rendering processes. Forecasting and data-driven decision-making help analyze content performance metrics, optimizing visual outputs for audience engagement. These skills enable me to manage resources effectively, ensuring consistent, high-quality results in photography and video projects.
